This study investigates the transformative potential of restorative healing practices within Black communities, focusing on the Retreat & Rebuild program in King County. Grounded in principles of rest as resistance, the program offers all-inclusive silent meditation retreats, mental health resources, and housing support to empower Black women facing systemic oppression and trauma.
