Description

While poverty has affected several sectors in Kenya, the education sector had been highly impacted; people in lower-class families who earned below $1.90 per day face challenges in accessing education. This can be attributed to rampant corruption and mismanagement of public resources in most government sectors. Rising poverty levels and overcrowding in the cities have resulted in kids dropping out of school due to a lack of tuition. There is no higher need than that of a society committed to civility and a country that realizes there is a need to make ethical and political commitments to assure all citizens who call Kenya home have a decent living and that their children have equal education opportunities as any other children regardless of where they are born.
