Description

Methods of contraception tailored for males include methods that men directly use. However, their efficacy and acceptability are frequently lacking, putting the weight of family planning and pregnancy prevention primarily on women. This leads to an increase in unintended pregnancies globally, a public health issue with profound implications for people and societies. The discourse surrounding male contraception accentuates concerns about a lack of innovation due to factors in the market, cultural norms, social constraints, and health disparities. Thus, this study explores the relationship between abortion rates, male contraceptives, and US legal frameworks.
