Description

We have seen the effects a delay in a call to action can have on the lives of veterans and if we don’t act now, then they will be a repeat of Agent Orange.

This paper will introduce the history and benefits of the Department of Veterans Affairs as well as provide anecdotal testimonies of those affected by Agent Orange and Burn pits. Further, an analysis of research that has been done in recent years of the effects of burn pits will be provided to prove the urgency of this matter. The solution isn’t to pile money and hope for the best. What we can do now is call representatives to vote for legislation that will help research, and most importantly we need to see this population for who they are– not soldiers, warriors, heroes, or disposable: humans that now need to be fought for the same way they fought for us.
