12th Avenue Arts opened to the public in 2014 as part of Capitol Hill Housing (Community Roots Housing as of 2020) after extensive public/private planning. Two flexible theatres serve a variety of artistic entities within a multi-use facility that includes 88 affordable apartments, as well as restaurants, bars, and offices.
