Abstract
This essay offers a brief summary of the Occupy Wall Street movement, and the Occupy Colleges spin-off, by exploring the history and context of the Occupy movement and discussing the rele- vance for student affairs practitioners. Implica- tions of the global and national movement for educators in higher education and student affairs practitioners are evaluated, including the impact on diversity, the nature of student affairs, and the strategy of teach-ins.
