Abstract
This literature review examines research on diversity initiatives on college campuses and the extent to which minority students contribute to diverse interactions and are supported on campus. Specifically, the review summarizes education-based research conducted on college campuses throughout the United States by providing results on the extent to which diversity initiatives for minority students have resulted in (a) admissions, (b) financial aid, (c) diverse interactions on campus, and (d) supportive campus environments. The review concludes by noting the strengths and limitations of the studies, implications for practice in the field, and need for future research.
