Abstract
The number of international students in the United States is steadily increasing, and these students are important contributors to the diversity and globalization of a campus. Because of this, the authors of this article recommend best practices for serving international students drawn from NAFSA (Association of International Educators), the Institute of International Education, and the Forum on Education Abroad. These best practices are then compared to the standards in Blimling and Whitt’s Good Practices in Student Affairs. Three case studies are then cited to provide examples of how these best practices can be implemented to improve services for international students.
