Abstract
Creating an engaging campus environment for student development becomes increasingly challenging as cultural cues encourage commodity-driven pursuits of satisfaction. This paradigm must shift in which students understand themselves as commodities for global change. A strengths-based student development approach parallels Jesuit implementation of social change. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that a Jesuit university environment provides a favorable context for discovery, development and application of student strengths.
