The Teen Dance Ordinance (TDO) was passed by the Seattle City Council in 1985 to stop abuses at underage clubs, resulting in constricted access to live music for teens in Seattle. The repeal of the ordinance was a key goal of JAMPAC (Joint Artists & Music Promotions Action Committee) founded in 1995. An All-ages Dance Ordinance, written by members of the Music and Youth Task Force, was passed in 2002, replacing the TDO.
