Abstract
This paper is a combination of self-reflection and academic writing. It begins with a description of the event that inspired this paper. This event is an example of the author's Asian American identity development journey. In this paper, the author explores the effects of silence on the lifestyle that Asian American college students can create for themselves after college and what Student Affairs professionals can do to best support these students. To do this, she draws on interviews with student affairs professionals, Yosso's (2205) theory on community cultural wealth, and Strayhorn's (2019) theory on Sense of Belonging.
